LITTLE SPLASHERS TERMS & CONDITIONS 

This document is for those attending or observing Little Splashers classes.  

COURSE BOOKINGS 

  1. All known medical conditions of parent/carer & child must be disclosed to Little Splashers and kept updated. 
  2. Missed lessons cannot be refunded or transferred in any circumstance. 
  3. Any changes you wish to make to your lesson times/course will carry a £10 administration fee.
  4. Courses can be cancelled up to 14 working days before the course is scheduled to commence and will carry a £30 cancellation fee.  No refunds can be given after this time. 
  5. Little Splashers reserves the right to change lesson times and venues and in some circumstances cancel classes. Only if an alternative class is not given, will a refund be issued to those swimmers who were able to attend on that specific day. Little Splashers are not responsible for travel expenses. 

CODE OF CONDUCT / POOL SAFETY

We ask that you follow this Code of Conduct not only to ensure you enjoy your experience, but for the safety and wellbeing of all attendees.

Safety in our lessons at and each venue is our priority.  However, it is important you have read our terms and conditions and made sure you understand our assumption of risk. (i.e. you are fully responsible for child in the pool and surrounding areas).  

  1. One adult must enter the water with each baby/toddler. That adult is exclusively responsible for the safety of the baby/toddler both in the pool, changing rooms and the surrounding areas. Siblings in the class or on pool side must be accompanied by a second adult.
  2. Babies/children under 4 years, must adhere to the Happy Nappy ‘double layer'  system. A baby warmer and swim nappy is not adequate.
  3. Little Splashers reserves the right to refuse entry into the pool without the appropriate swimwear.
  4. All persons entering the pool must shower on poolside beforehand. 
  5. Please take care when walking on poolside or around the changing areas as they can become slippy when wet. 
  6. Due to the risk of contamination, please ensure you are not wearing any makeup, cosmetic products including creams and oils when you come swimming. 
  7. Please do not bring your baby swimming if they have been unwell with sickness or diarrhoea within 7 days of your swim lesson.  For all contagious illnesses, please contact us before swimming. 
  8. Little Splashers reserves to right to cancel an individuals course without a refund, through any incident / inappropriate behaviour during our lessons. 
  9. Little Splashers and the pool facility will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury whilst on pool premises.
  10. Please note during our classes photo's or video recordings are not permitted. Photos at the end of the class of just your child are permitted but prior permission must be obtained from the Instructor and we will always check with the rest of the class.
  11. Due to glass breakage, smart phones and computer tablets are not permitted around the the poolside. 
  12. All personal items must be taken home at the end of each lesson including used swim nappies.  
  13. You are full responsibility for all the applications of Little Splashers you may practice outside the classes now and in the future.
  14. Arrive in sufficient time to allow the class to begin as scheduled (15 mins is adequate).  If you arrive when the class has already started you may lose the right to participate in the lesson.
  15. If waiting on poolside, please wait quietly.  If you are noisy you will be asked to be quiet, failure to do this means you will be asked to leave the poolside.  It is imperative that noise is kept to a minimum so that those in the pool can hear the instructor and so staff can maintain the safest possible environment.  The same applies when observing any classes.
  16. Any personal belongings are left at the owners’ risk.
  17. We ask parents to bring towels to pool side, in many instances fire exits are located at pool side. 
  18. Please do not to change your baby on raised surfaces. 
  19. If you have a medical problem and use any medication i.e an inhaler etc, please tell your instructor and feel free to keep this near you in class.
  20. Avoid feeding babies too close to your lesson time.
  21. No food or drink is to be taken into the pool areas or changing areas.  
  22. To avoid injury, the wearing of spectacles in the water by a swimmer is not recommended.
  23. Swimming goggles may be worn at the owner’s risk.
  24. Jewellery/watches can be a hazard and should not be worn during swimming.
  25. Only enter the pool when told to do so by the teacher.
  26. In the event of an emergency all swimmers and spectators will immediately stop what they are doing and wait for further instructions.
  27. Should it be necessary to evacuate the building no attempt should be made to recover possessions from the changing rooms or anywhere else within the building.  A member of staff will take charge once the swimmers have left the water.  
  28. Where a venue has stairs, please ensure that you take care ascending and descending (keep feet dry, pool shoes are recommended). 
  29. Any misdemeanors and breach of this Code of Conduct will be dealt with by Little Splashers.
